Pregnancy Hemroids

Good Morning Ladies,

Well i had the wonderful experience to waking up last night to painful hemroids. I took some tylenol just to take to edge off. But I have to sit on my *** all day and it will be a long day if I cant at least figure out what to do. Dr's off is closed today and I put in 2 calls to the on call dr. Has anyone had this experience before and what did you do to help. Please anything at this point will help.Tongue Tied

  • I still have mine from giving birth to DS. I use tucks pad when I need to.. they are very cooling and help relieve the pain associated with them. Good luck!!

  • get some tucks pads and Preparation H. You might want to buy a sitz bath also. I got them bad towards the end of my last pregnancy and the actually the sitz bath helped with them before and after delievery.  It also helped a ton with my 4th degree tear.
  • I had them with ds#1 and have them again this time around. The best advice is try not to strain when going to the bathroom - so stay hydrated, eat lots of fiber-rich foods. I also found witch hazel pads to be a relief. And get up and move as much as you can during the day - I take walks to the farther vending machine, print to different printers, etc.

    If they are really bad, your doc may have something stronger to recommend. I know it sucks, I'm sorry! If it's any comfort to you, I had no issues with them after ds was born - just during pregnancy.
