Anyone have a twin VBAC?

If so, would you mind sharing a bit about it? There are no providers in my current city that are supportive of VBAC, but I am moving at the end of the week, and hope to find a doctor that is willing to at least talk about it.

What were the circumstances surrounding your first birth? Were you induced? Did you have any other complications (high blood pressure, placenta issues, etc)? How long between the c-section and VBAC attempt? And most importantly, was your VBAC successful?

    My OB wouldn't let me try for a VBAC since I was having twins.  She was not comfortable with it because of how stretched out the uterus gets.  My c-section recovery was easier than the first one though.

    I have heard that the recovery is much easier when the c-section is planned vs after a long labor. I guess I should just be thankful for that.

    I cant help you because I only have my twins.. BUT i have a friend who had a c section with her 3 year old, and just had a vbac with her twins!! I havent even chatted with her yet but she said she argued a bit for it, and it was fabulous! Good luck!

    I was going to try for a VBAC before I found out it was twins.  We even discussed me possibly trying for it once we knew it was twins, but as it got closer to the end my OB (whom I love love love) was very honest and said she was more comfortable with me having a c/s.  I trusted her opinion and just had the c/s.

    Haven't had a VBAC, but I did hear recently that doctors are supporting VBAC's more and more often, even with twin deliveries.  You may want to do some research into recent articles for a discussion with your future doctor.

    ACOG revised VBAC guidelines

    An interesting article showing no VBAC outcome difference between singletons and twins (actually, in this particular study, the percentage of successful twin VBAC was a little higher than the singletons).
