anyone still sleeping on their stomach?

i don't really have much of a bump yet and i sleep so much better on my stomach so i switch back and forth from sleeping on my stomach and on my side.  it has been a bit more difficult lately b/c i have worse round ligament pain at night when i am on my stomach...  what do most people recommend in terms of no longer laying on stomach?  when it becomes uncomfortable?  or is there a number of weeks that most docs recommend no longer sleeping on the stomach?  what have your docs recommended?

Re: anyone still sleeping on their stomach?

  • My Dr. said that I can sleep on my stomach til it isn't comfortable right now I sleep kind of on my stomach with a pillow under my chest.  From what Dr. said it is more worriesome to sleep on your back that belly, most women stop cause their belly gets to big and makes it uncomfortable.

  • I still sleep on my stomach but I also sleep on my side. I do feel discomfort if I do it for a long period of time or if I flip to my side to fast however my midwife hasn't mentioned anything but like you, I don;t have much of a bump yet wither,
  • great, thanks for the replies! :)

  • I have a pretty decent bump at this point but I'm still managing to sleep on my tummy, sort of.  I have the Snoogle and I put one leg up over the bottom hook so it takes the pressure off my tummy.  I'm going to do that as long as I can manage it.

  • I think if you are concerned about it ask your doc if he thinks in your specific circumstance you should stop sleeping on your stomach at some point. My doctor told me it was advised against for me after 12 weeks to lay on my stomach or back. But I also have other circumstances.

  • I sleep on my stomach but it is starting to become uncomfortable as I do have a bump and I feel like I'm pushing something towards my back. I move from side to side throughout the night. My poor SO, just rubs my back wherever I end up...

I slept on my stomach until I couldn't anymore. Your body evil get to a point where you just physically won't be able to anymore. Until then, it's fine.

This, I just popped about 2 weeks ago and its to big to sleep on now. LOL

  • I only sleep on my stomach. Nothing else is comfortable, and sleeping on my side makes me nauseous..

This is how I am! I can still sleep on my stomach so I definitely do, but I'm dreading the day when it's no longer comfortable. I am absolutely in love with the picture of your kitten SouthSide!
