Update on baby not sleeping in her crib

Last night was better, although not back to normal yet. She woke up screaming again, but instead of picking her up, I just rubbed her belly and her head for about 20 minutes and sang to her. It worked, and she fell back asleep. She woke up screaming one other time but I only had to rub her belly for a minute before she fell back asleep.

DH took her to the pediatrician this morning and she does not have an ear infection. The doc said her gums are very puffy, so its most likely just teething going on. I feel better since we ruled out an ear infection though.

Hopefully tonight will be back to normal. Thanks for all your help!

  • I'm glad to hear that S is doing better. Keep up the good work. Also happy to hear no ear infections.

  • Aww poor baby!  I am glad that she doesn't have an ear infection and I hope that her teeth cut through soon!

  • That's great!  John is a great sleeper, and has been since 2 weeks old, but teething always messes with his sleep a little bit.  I don't understand why they can't all come in at one time?!
