Day 37...new palpable lump in left lower quadrant, no AF

So, last night I was in bed and felt this new lump (about 2-3cm) in my left lower quadrant that is firm and does not seem to move with palpation.  It's slightly tender.  I'm wondering if this could be an ectopic pregnancy since I'm on day 37 with no AF.  I tested on 12/25 and it was (-), but ectopics don't always turn a home urine test (+).  I'm quite concerned at this point and have an appt at 2:30 today for evaluation.  My DH thinks an ectopic "is a good thing because at least we know my boys are working".  I think this is a ridiculous statement considering I could lose my tube.  I explained this to him, but he doesn't seem to understand and keeps telling me to "be positive".  I otherwise feel totally fine.  TMI alert... I am not constipated (sometimes stool can feel like a mass in that area, but that's not it in this case). 

Has anyone here had an ectopic?  Am I off base to think that could explain these current symptoms?  Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Good luck at your appointment. You said the other day you didn't ovulate this month so I don't think you could have an etopic. I've never had one but I've heard that the pain with an ectopic is very bad and you wouldn't feel totally fine but for the lump. Let us know what the dr says.

    Very true, Mrs. M.  Funny how we can talk ourselves into the most improbable events, isn't it?!  MD's best guess is that it's an endometrioma and he expects it to go down after my menses.  Thank you for responding.  How are things with you?

    Yes we can certainly talk ourselves into thinking the worse or phantom symptoms!  I get sore lumps in my right underarm when my period is coming and every month I assume it is cancer... This whole process takes it toll!!    I am 3DPO... We'll see next week!!   This was the first smiley face CBE OPK I ever had so maybe it was a stronger/bigger egg this month!!     I thought of a positive for you--- if AF holds out until your RE appt next week, then at least you can get CD3 testing right away and not have to wait until the next month. That's one good reason for her to stay away for you!!

    Hi Lucy,

    Doc thinks it's an endometrioma that should regress once I have my next menses.  He doesn't think that it will interfere with any fertility treatments since it's on my abdominal wall.  Thank you so much for following up!  I hope all is going well for you.
