2nd Trimester

XP: my poor hubby and doppler question

So...I have been one of the lucky ones in the way of....I have not been sick or had any complications this whole pregnancy.  I have even lost weight and still do not have a bump.  I have not even been moody or b!tchy (this my hubby is very thankful for). While I am VERY thankful for this (my sil was sick from the day she conceived until 3 days after she gave birth - I know how bad it can be), my hubby is getting anxious.  Since I have no 'pregnancy symptoms' his is feeling left out. He is watching the weeks pass by and going to the doctor with me...but he sees, feels, notices nothing.  Every day when I get home from work he asks, "How are you feeling?" and "Any pregnancy symptoms?"  To which I answer, "great" and "no". His face just kinda falls.

So...I am thinking about getting a doppler so he can here the heartbeat in between appointments.  Can you all recommend you doppler?  How much did you pay for it? Where did you get it? Why do you like it?

TIA

Re: XP: my poor hubby and doppler question

  • I got the sonoline b (3 mghz) that I love. I know some get off amazon, I got mine off of healthaidmonitors.com. I "think" it was around $60. I got this over a cheaper one because it had the digital display output of what the heartbeat is. I had a ton of problems in the beginning with heartbeat so this was important to me :)

  • I have a Sonoline B as well, but mine is the 2mHz one. I think it was around $40 and I got it through Amazon. I first heard the heartbeat around 9w6d, so I haven't had any problems with it being a 2mHz instead of 3mHz.

  • I ordered one, and sooo excited to get it..i got a new one that records and all..original price 129.00, and i paid 35.00 new on ebay check it out..you will deff both LOVEEEE it
  • I got the Angelsounds doppler from Amazon for $30 with shipping. I use lotion on it and it works fine.

  • I'd totally suggest a doppler if you were closer to about 13 w, but you're getting REALLY close to having a very busy, active baby! By 19 weeks, DH was able to feel this one just flying all over the place. If he can just hold on for another couple weeks, he'll have LOTS of baby time! :-)

  • I also got the Angelsounds doppler on Amazon for under $30. It works well and you can't beat the price! We use KY with it.

  • I also got the Angelsounds, use KY, and it works great. I use it once every couple weeks or if something happens (like I get sick) that makes me worry. My husband enjoys listening too.
