After birth. My husband just informed me that his work friends ( aka men who act like children) said their wives never went back to normal. This kinda depresses me, I don't expect to feel like a virgin after a vaginal delivery but I hope it feels close to the same. So, how are yours?

As long as your pelvic floor muscles aren't destroyed, it should be alright. It likely won't be the same for a few years after the baby is born, but DH claims that I feel the same as I used to. I know that it took a couple years to get back to "normal" and lots of kegel exercises to strengthen my pelvic floor muscles back up again. So I'd say it will probably feel close to the same, and your DH's work friends are a bunch of pigs.

I am only a first time mom, but there is this stuff you can buy called "T-Up". It works really well for woman who have children and it basically just tightens things up a bit so that it feels normal to DH. I have heard great things from every mom I have known to buy it. Just a word of advice if you decided to buy a product like this, do wait the time limits, don't reapply, I have also heard some horror stories of people who didn't think it was working and applied more than recommended.

I've had no complaints. Two vaginal deliveries with no tearing - so there had to be a lot of stretching.

It's all about the muscles. Do those Kegels, ladies!

Mines great! Hahhaa :-) I only tore a teeny tiny bit and had a fairly easy recovery. It took a while for sex to feel comfortable again, but DH says it's like it used to be or tighter (probably because we don't do the deed as often lol).

Just kidding, I've heard the vagina is a muscle that contracts so it will go back. Kegels are good too!

I had a 3rd degree tear with ds, and my DH said its still feels good. My ob stitched me up good though and said I healed perfectly.

DH said he can't tell any difference. I was so paranoid after I had DD I had to ask him a few times how it felt. He said it sometimes even felt tighter, probably because we didn't get to do it as much. So no worries!

This... with a 4th degree tear from foreceps delivery. Don''t get me wrong, sex was painful until about 6 mo pp, but it's healled and we've got baby 2 on the way, as long as you're not a Duggar with nearly 20 kids I'm sure you'll be fine

DH said it is sometimes tighter but as a whole WAY better. I half hazardly did kegals and had no tearing. My MIL made some pretty nasty comments about vaginal deliveries and post sex (she had two c sections so how she would even know I don't have a clue). Anyway they all turned out to be incorrect and sex although infrequent is better than ever! (Sorry if TMI)

This is exactly like me! The doctor gave me one stitch and my recovery was fine. 6 weeks after I had my DD we started having sex again and the first time it was pretty uncomfortable because it was really tight. I don't know what's going on with the women that your husbands friends are married to, but I haven't had any looseness issues. I definitely hope I won't tear this time either! Kegals never hurt though, if you want to go ahead and work the muscles out!

Intercourse for the first time after a vaginal delivery was painful for me...like I was a virgin again (very tight). No complaints by DH. Appearance wise it's not so youthful looking anymore.

i think a nerve was cut during my episiotomy, part of my vagina is numb. i had a forceps birth.

4th time mom here - no complaints from hubby. Only a small tear with 1st baby, last baby was 8.8., no tears. like other ladies said, do your kegels. Its takes a bit of time before you'll feel like doing the deed, well for me anyways. sore bottom, leaky breasts, lack of sleep - doesn't put me in the mood.

My vajayjay is not the same. My labia tore in half on one side and they said they will try to fix it after this baby. I had bad tearing but it wasn't deep. At four weeks I apparently over did it and ripped out two stitches, so my lady parts didn't heal up as much on the exterior as they were before. Interior wise- it is tighter. It took at least four months for me not to cry during sex (and yet I got pregnant again during that time). It has gotten better but I still haven't had an orgasm.

Hoping it gets MUCH better!
