Washington Babies

Please recommend your crib!

Brianne's post below got me thinking that I need crib recommendations. We inherited Max's but I plan to just keep him in it as long as possible and then get rid of it when he's done, and get a new one for this baby. If you love (or for that matter, hate!) your crib, please tell me about it! Thank you!

  • We had ours for a month (was living in an apartment so LO was in packnplay) but we love it so far.  "Olivia" Convertible Crib at JC Pennys in Cherry.  It is beautiful and will grow with DD.

We also got  BreathableBaby Breathable Safer Bumpers from Target and they are cute. I feel she is safer then regular bumpers and LO kept putting her arm through the bars.

  • We have the PBK Kendall 3 in 1. It's very sturdy and looks nice.

  • We have the Leksvik from Ikea and love it! It is sturdy, inexpensive, compact in size (good for small rooms) and I think it looks great.

Only thing is that it is pretty short (which is great for me) but I know you and your DH are on the taller side so might be something to consider.

  • We have the Graco Lauren from Target (but I think they are also at BRU).  It was cheap but doesn't look it, sturdy and had great reviews in Baby Bargains and Consumer Reports.

Ha ha yes, we are giants. Big Smile My mom is short though and she watches him two days a week, so she'd probably like that. Thanks!

  • I second the PBK Kendall. Good price for a sturdy piece of furniture.

  • We have the Graco Lauren and love it!  We were going to buy it from BRU but found it on Walmart.com for $50 less! I lik that its sturdy, looks nice, and was not very expensive.

  • We also have two of the Graco Lauren cribs in espresso and they have been great. We found the cheapest price at walmart.com when we bought them in 2008. They got really great reviews in baby bargains and fit our budget at the time. They are extremely sturdy and great quality for the price, i have no complaints! Also as a side note the color matched pretty closely the Hemnes dresser from ikea that we got.

We have the Hemnes dresser from Ikea too :)

As for crib recommendations, we have a Munire Essex and LOVE it! It's a convertible and has lasted very well through both our little ones. We plan to use it for future LO's when the time comes and then convert it to a full down the line. I like that it can easily work for a boy or a girl and has a classic style that will work as a bed also. Very solid and sturdy and got the highest BB rating.

  • I just did a massive brag post on E's crib, so I'll just C&P the link here...
