Trying to Get Pregnant

New to TTC, how soon do boobies hurt?

Hi Everyone!

I am new to the TTC board and I have a question. TTC this month and my boobs started to hurt 7 DAYS before my missed period (the 31st of this month, Friday). I know they may hurt before your period but 7 days before!!??? Was wondering if others had this happen to them this early, or is it normal for 7 days before your period for your boobs to hurt?

TIA.

  • That is a pretty common PMS symptom.

  • Sore boobs= normal a week before AF.

  • I know it's a sign of AF, but I was wondering if a whole week was normal.

  • They may not be sore for a whole week.  They may be sore for a day or two.  Yes, it is ok to have them be sore a week+ of your period coming.

  • My boobs were sore pretty much every day after O.

Now take your fishing line somewhere else. We can't tell you if you're pregnant.

  • Look at my chart for my last cycle. Sore boobs from O to AF. It's normal.

  • Hi and welcome,

FWIW, my boobs, hurt every cycle, and my nipples get crazy sensitive for my last week before AF. While I've been TTC I keep wanting to attribute them to a forthcoming BFP, but, not so far.

Watch out for Phantom symptoms they can drive you crazy. That having been said: I hope they aren't phantom and that your sore boobs mean what you hope they mean.

So you're not fishing for us to tell you, "Oh my gosh, if you have sore boobs, that's totally a sign you're pregnant!!!!!!!!"? Yes it's a normal PMS symptom.

  • No, I'm not. This is the first time my boobs have hurt a whole week before AF. I was WONDERING if others have had the same thing or was not unusual. I actually wondering if I there was some sorta hormonal thing wrong with me this month if I was not pregnant in fact, since this has never happen to me. Again, I KNOW it's a normal PMS symptom but was wondering about the timing of it.

Besides, I think I'm pregnant every month. :)

  • Mine usually start getting achey around 3DPO and stay that was until AF.

    BFP on 2.2.11
  • mine hurt and swell for pretty much all of the 2ww.  It did get worse than usual once we started TTC, but then again my imagination goes into serious overdrive about 3dpo.  Hurting the week before my period has been part of my standard PMS since I was 15.
    TTC #1 since 6/10
  • I have them for almost two weeks before AF.They were really bad the first few months after I went off of birth control.

  • For years and years my most reliable PMS symptom was sore and swollen boobs, starting 7 days before AF's arrival.

I am right there with you...This is my second cycle post-birth control pill, and I've never had this kind of sensitivity/pain in the bosoms.  In my case, I think it's possibly just a different form of PMS because estrogen might be leaving my body/still messing with me as my body resumes it's "normal" PMS patterns.  You're not the only one wondering ;)  Good luck!

    Bosoms? Grandma, is that you?

  • My boobs never hurt, even the month I did get pregnant. I'm convinced signs/symptoms mean nothing. The only thing that actually matters is a positive pregnany test.
