Please recommend your digital camera

I got a lot of gift cards for Christmas and wanted to treat myself to a new camera.  I'm a mommy of a 2 year-old and a director of a preschool, so most of my pictures are of little ones being busy:)

I'm looking for something compact that I could slide in my pocket or put in my purse and something that just takes good quality pictures.

If you love your camera, please let me know what kind you have.  (I currently have a Kodak Easy Share, and it's been pretty good, but I feel like the quality isn't the greatest) Thanks!

    I have a Canon Powershot Digital Elph.  Actually we have 3 of them.  DH & I both had the same when we got engaged (so these were probably from '04,) then we bought a newer one when I was pregnant w/ DD as one of our original cameras crapped out, then the 2nd older one bit the bullet.  I called canon about recycling them and they had me send both in- postage paid and everything.  They fixed one and replaced the other w/ a much newer more advanced refurbished camera- so I LOVE their customer service!

    All of them work great, have option for video, etc. 

    I know that they sell them @ Sam's Club and I saw that they had 2 different ones for sale when I was there a few days before Christmas- both under $200.  They seem to roll out new models all of the time, so you can often get a great deal on an "older" model.
