anyone else have this problem?
ever since it got cold my cat has been laying on the air vent making (whatever room) super cold.
first it both our bedooms. it got to be such a problem that the only thing I could think of was putting upside down laundry baskets over the vents so the air could still flow.
that fixed that problem, but now she's doing it in the living room! which wouldn't be such a big deal except that's the room with the thermostat, so she's making the room cold which makes the furnace run longer.
i really don't want to put an upside down laundry basket in the living room.. anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

I'm laughing at your "fat" 15 pound cat. My middle cat is that size (though he's very long) and my youngest cat (the white one) probably weights 22 pounds and it's almost all muscle. We call him a Polar Cat.
My oldest cat likes to lay on air vents (mainly bathrooms and B's room). Normally I just shoo him away when necessary, but could you lay a blanket/cat bed next to the vent so that she still gets the warm air without blocking it from reaching the rest of the room?

What about a heated cat bed? https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_14?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=heated+cat+bed&sprefix=heated+cat+bed
Maybe that would help?
I have three cats but none of them try to block the vents so I don't know if a heated bed would be "competition" for the vents. Not sure if you have a space big enough (spare room, couch that's not used often, etc) for an electric blanket, but that might work, too.
