2nd Trimester

First question on the board - breasts growing or no?

Hi Everyone,

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and I'm not showing nor are my breasts growing.  My doc says it's normal to not show until 18-20 week for a first baby, but I didn't ask about my breasts growing.  Anyone else experiencing the same thing?  Thank you :)

  • Follow up question - how do I edit my signature picture?  I didn't even know it was there. :)

  • Honestly, everyone is different. Personally, my breasts grew an entire size within weeks of getting pregnant (it was actually one of the things that tipped me off to being pregnant) and have grown another half a size since second trimester started. I know I have seen other women on the boards that have not had any growth at all though. I'm sure it's fine.

  • With DS mine did nothing til 14 weeks and then I went up a cup size in a week.

    This time (2nd pg) I've been up at a 34G for a while now. I was at a D/DD.

  • My breasts haven't grown either but then again I had a breast reduction 15 years ago.  So that could be a reason why for me....

  • I'm 22 weeks... definitely showing in my belly, but no boob growth. (And I'm slightly disappointed, I was looking forward to that! haha)
  • I would mention it to your dr. My breasts were one of the firstthings that started changing. But AGAIN... every women is different.

  • With my first three pregnancies my breasts grew a cup size by 20 weeks. However, with this one they haven't grown at all. I guess it's all depending on your body and the pregnancy.

  • My breasts haven't gotten much bigger, just fuller.  I am still wearing the same size bra I was wearing pre-pregnancy, but I'm filling it out more.  I was a 34A pre-pregnancy.  I'm waiting any day now for them to bust out Smile

  • I'm 27 weeks and my breasts haven't grown at all. I'm not worried, they have plenty of time to catch up.
  • Mine grew an entire cup size in the last few weeks! I recently went out to buy a few new bras. Friends who I haven't seen in a few weeks have even noticed!

  • Mine have barely grown- maybe just a TINY bit. I'm a 32A so any change would have been welcome!  I'm definitely showing a bit, but I've only gained 1lb since I've been pregnant. My doctor doesn't seem too concerned about any of it.
  • My boobs have barely grown and I'm 22w. I guess they are a bit fuller, but I'm still fitting comfortably in my old bras.

  • My boobs are fuller but my back seems bigger. I think I'm a 36 now.

  • I'm also just over 15 weeks, and have lost approximately 20 lbs. so far. The doctor isn't worried, and frankly, the only thing that bothers me is that I discovered this week it appears most of the weight lost is coming from my boobs. :-( I worked hard for those girls - two births, two miscarriages, and a lot of breastfeeding to get them to where they are today! I'm hoping by the end of the pregnancy they'll come back. Wink

  • Boobs ballooning to their pre-DD (daughter, not gino boobs!) size was our #1 indicator for pregnancy #2! I've rarely heard of people's boobs not growing, but frankly I can't remember when they grew for #2. It could have been later than 15w.

  • My belly has become noticeable the past 2-3 weeks. My boobs are huge and have been growing since 1st tri.  I'm usually a small 34B at the most.  Now I'm a C++ or D.

It's crazy.  I just wish I had my flat stomach and these boobs!  :-)

  • With DS my boobs grew a cup size by the end of my pregnancy, it was gradual and not drastic. This pregnancy is totally different. The girls have already grown a cup size and they are a hard as rocks.
