Waking a Sleeping Baby

Baby Thomas has been asleep for 3 hours now.  Would you wake him?  I always heard to never wake a sleeping baby.  What is the longest nap your baby has taken?  I keep checking on him and he seems fine.  It's just weird.  Surprise

Re: Waking a Sleeping Baby

  • Haha this happened to me a few weeks ago.

His normal naps are 20-30 minutes tops, and one day he took a 3 hour nap, I was in awe and scared. Every since then, he's been taking almost 2 hour naps in the afternoon, it's quite nice.

I wouldn't wake him, he obviously is enjoying his sleep =) Probably gonna wake up pretty hungry and mad though, be prepared! haha

  • I wouldn't wake him. If he's fine when you've checked on him than I wouldn't worry. Maybe it's a growth spurt or something.

  • nah...do you like to be awakened?

  • i wouldn't wake him.  babies sleep when they need it.  he may be fighting off an illness or going through a growth spurt (or something else).  chances are it will not effect his sleeping at night, if that's what you're worried about.  seems like when landon naps better during the day he sleeps better at night!
