cold meds while pregnant

I know you can't take much of anything, but I seem to have a cold and am miserable.  My sinuses hate me and the pressure is killing me.  Does anybody know of anything that is safe to take that might help give me a little bit of relief?

    I think that regular Sudafed and Tylenol cold were on my safe list from my OB.  I don't think I have the list anymore, so I would double-check before taking anything.

    I would take Tylenol for the pain!

    Also try a netti pot??

    When I was really sick last month, the only relief I found was taking one Tylenol PM at bedtime. I had bad strep throat and a cold on top of it, so I wasn't sleeping AT ALL. The first night I took one, I slept soundly and woke up feeling much better. I only did it two nights in a row, and after that I felt much better.

    Here is the list I have..

    Cough and Colds:

    Tylenol cold-anytime during pregnancy

    Robitussin Cough Syrup-regular or dm formula

    Robitussin Cough drops

    Sinus Colds-Chlortrimeton 4mg as directed, Tylenol Cold, Ocean Saline nose drops

     

    Two weeks ago I was sick as well and I had to take Tylenol Cold.

    The saline drops and neti pot can help with congestion.  I was told I could take benadryl. Some docs allow sudafed, others don't.  If you do have an infection, usually z-pacs are okay.

    My last cold right before Lauren was born, my OB said I could do sudafed.  My regular doctor actually gave me an RX for vicodent along with abx.  I was feeling quite miserable from all my coughing and the vicodent really helped.  The abx cleared up my sinus infection, but gave me a yeast infection in return.  Good times.
