Fast Hearbeat

Does anyone else feel that their heart is beating like crazy sometimes? I feel like my heart is beating so rapidly and I can't catch my breath. I haven't done anything overactive though. Thoughts?

I get this when I am having a BH contraction. I asked my OB about it and didn't have any concerns.

I still get heart palpitations sometimes, but they've been much less frequent since starting my iron supplement. I was anemic and didn't know it.

I get this too. Matter of fact, I had it while I was just sitting in my recliner today. I got it a lot during 1st tri and it eased up. Now for the past week or two, it is happening a lot more.

I have mitral valve prolapse and occasionally my heart goes nuts, but it's nothing serious. I had to have an ultrasound done to diagnose it about 4 years ago... runs in the family. But I do find it's a little worse since getting pregnant.

i have it too.... usually if i'm just sitting on the couch watching tv, my heart starts going crazy. i told my OB and she said it was "common but not normal" and sent me to a cardiologist. they did an echo and put a holster thing on me with a bunch of things taped to my chest and i have to wear it for 24 hours while it records all my heart activity. i'm actually wearing it now and it itches like crazy.

in any case, this cardiologist specializes in pregnant woman and said the same thing my OB did about it being common but not normal. i go back in a week to get the results. hopefully it's nothing!
