Oakdale Ob-gyn (Maple Grove) and new Maple Grove Hospital??

Has anyone gone to Oakdale Ob-Gyns (located in Maple Grove) or delivered at the new hospital in Maple Grove?  When we had our daughter in Feb, I delivered at Woodwinds and went to Aderis and Toppin and really loved it but I am worried that the drive for appointments will get to be too much with a little one at home now and am trying to find somewhere closer to home. Thanks for your help!

    They give tours!  Check out their website & sign up for one.  We checked it out last week as we tried to solidify which providers we were going with for this pregnancy.

    I go to Oakdale Ob-Gyn in Maple Grove and love them!  I see whoever is available rather than a specific dr since it'll be the on-call dr delivering, and have loved everyone I have seen so far.  The drs and staff have all been really friendly and every dr has been willing to take any amount of time needed to answer my questions and let me know what to expect at upcoming appts.  Also, they seem to understand that you don't have all day to sit around (I generally get called back within 5 min even when I'm early for appts).  Another perk, they have evening hours on Tuesdays.   

    I am doing the tour at the Maple Grove Hospital tonight, but have a friend who delivered there the end of November and she said it was fantastic.  She loved the staff, said the food was good and the rooms are very private and comfortable.

    I am having a c-section at Maple Grove Hospital on Friday so I can give you a review of the place when I get home next week. :) From what I saw on our tour, it looks very nice and I have heard good things.

    I go to Oakdale and love them. Like a previous post I see whomever is available and have had great experiences with everyone. I am delivering at the hospital as well...sometime within the next 14 days. The tour was awesome when I did it and I have talked to people that have delivered there and they have loved it!

    Thanks so much for the feedback.  It makes me feel better about my decision to switch providers and hospitals, especially after such a good experience with my previous one. I have my first appointment next week at Oakdale, so I can't wait to see what I think. 

    I would love to hear reviews of the hospital after people deliver too!!

    I delivered at Maple Grove hospital in January of 2010, during their first month! It was great!! The rooms were very cozy. I ended up having a c section and it went very well. It was very quiet at the hospital and it is hard to tell if it was just because it was at the beginning but I know that there were still quite a few babies being born. The food is really great, they will even call to make sure you get your meals. I loved my experience there and I wouldn't want to give birth anywhere else. I highly recommend the hospital. I have known quite a few others that have had great experiences there too.

    I delivered at Maple Grove in February and LOVED it!!! The rooms are super nice and comfy. I ended up being induced and had a very long labor, so we got to spend a lot of time in our room and wandering up and down the hallways. It's also pretty quiet for a hospital. The food was pretty decent, the staff amazing. Oh... and the beds in the postpartum rooms.... SOOOO COMFY!!!!

    I'm totally trying to convince DH that we should deliver there next time, even though we live down in Eden Prairie now.

    I go to Oakdale and I delivered baby #2 at MG Hospital in February.  Loved the hospital...VERY nice and super quiet.  I had such a different experience there than I did with baby #1 at North Memorial.  NM wasn't bad....just MG was different and I was much more comfortable and relaxed.  Good luck!

    Our friends delivered at Maple Grove a few months ago and had a great experience.  They really liked the doctors, the food, the rooms, etc.  We went and visited them and I loved that everything was so peaceful and quiet.  The rooms seemed great and nothing there seemed to "hospitally" (if that makes sense).
