Hi Ladies,
You have not seen me around much this month because I decided to take a break from charting and bumping. Last month I suspected I have not been ovulating so I called my doctor. I had bloodwork done on CD 21 and got my results yesterday. I was right. I am not ovulating and my progesterone levels are low (.07%). My doctor said he would like to see it be at least 10%. My doctor has prescribed Metformin and Clomid. I will take e tablets of Metformin a night and take the Clomid cycle days 3-7. I will go back in on CD 21 again for more bloodwork to see if I am ovulating with the Clomid. While it is tough to hear that my body is not doing what it is supposed to we are hopeful and thankful that my doctor is being proactive. Let's hope this is the answer we are looking for.
If you have or are taking Clomid, what are your thoughts on it? Any side effects? How many cycles have you been taking it? Thank you!
Re: Trying something new
I thought that if your chart showed a difference in temps (ovulation) that it meant you were actually ovulating. Is that not the case? Sorry to hear your news. I hope your doctor has some good news for you soon!
On your three charts with temps you have a temp shift which indicate ovulation, but they are not on cd14 which is the only situation in which you'd have an accurate p4 test on cd21 as it is supposed to be done on 7dpo.
Have you had a baseline ultrasound and cd3 b/w? An hsg/shg? Your husband a SA?
And apparently you aren't going to be monitored.
I'd find a new dr. and give my body a chance to do things on it's own before I jumped into all that.
But in answer to your question- I took clomid for one cycle, ovulated (but I already do that on my own), and got pregnant.
I got pregnant with twins more than likely because I had a few mature follies at trigger thanks to the clomid, the lowest dose of clomid. Because of that, I won't do it again.
"It's a child, not a cheeto" Thanks mmariluh!
"Ew. I've read all of two posts from you, and you stink like rotting garbage."
This is my 3rd cycle of Clomid and although I haven't gotten my BFP yet, the side effects have been very minimal. I didn't have any bad effects the first 2 cycles, and this current one I just had a few hot flashes...they wern't bad at all.
GL to you!

The Dr is an idiot. CD 21 b/w doesn't mean shiit unless you O on CD14, which the OP did not.
