I have never had an OPK work for me despite the fact that my charts have shown I have ovulated. What are the chances that HPT's may not work for me either? I'm dealing with some weird stuff right now and have tested twice with negative results both times...so what are the chances that my "stuff" might not show up on a HPT? I'm not fishing...just curious.....

Re: OPK/HPT sensitivity question....
OPK's and HPT's do not measure the same hormone. OPK's measure a surge in LH, which is something present in both pg and non-pg women's bodies. HPT's only measure the hormone called HCG, which is produced by the embryo/baby, and therefore only present in bodies of pg women.
I think it is exceedingly rare for women to be pg with a healthy pregnancy and never get a + on a home urine test, while it is somewhat more commonplace for some women to never get a LH surge strong enough before they ovulate to get what would be considered a + result on an OPK (or to miss their surge entirely, especially if their surges only last a few hours, if they are only using OPK's once a day).
