Locked myself in the bathroom last night.

After a long 4 day weekend, and DH working every day but Saturday, I was ready to go back to work yesterday. Well when we came home last night DS#1 was running around chasing the dogs and the twins were both fussing (coming down with a cold) and DH was sitting in his recliner doing who knows what on his computer. I finally got one of the twins settled and just laid the other down on the couch (still crying) and I got up and walked into the bathroom for 5 minutes.

When I finally came out DH was off the computer feeding the fussy twin and had DS#1 under control. I was glad that I took that 5 minutes for myself and DH got up and did something. At night usually DS#1 wants dad to read him a book and tuck him in, by some miracle he let me read to him and I spent a good 30minutes reading several books and tucking him in. When I came out DH was holding both twins and looked like he was going to pull out his hair. I think it was a good lesson for him that it's not as easy as I make it look. (not trying to sound conceded but he needed to know what I go through too.)

  • Maybe you should've taken a nice, long bath while Dad took care of the kiddos Stick out tongue.  I bet he appreciates everything you do just a little bit more now.
