Okay so I know what it is haha I just have a little vent to share so bear with me here.
Found out over christmas that a couple friend of ours is pregnant.. YAY!! We couldn't be any happier for them and they are a very deserving couple. So I started talking to her about my own TTC story. That I had to start taking provera and didn't ovulate because I'm not getting a period on my own yadda yadda. And her response was "What does ovulate mean??" They didn't plan this pregnancy but really, she has no idea how she even got pregnant in the first place. When I explained it to her she said "oh well the minute you stop trying and get drunk and have sex it'll happen." Thanks for the advice no wonder it's not happening for me
rant over.

This sounds interesting. Please explain.
OP, stupid people are the worst.
I'd mentioned this in a post the other day. She is pg every month. She's always making comments about her needing to ffed her baby, "omg, this kid is making me look huge!" She knows DH and I have been TTC for almost 4 years. The other day, she was making these stupid comments, and made her trainee go get her a pg test in the middle of the shift. She went and peed on it (btw, we go through this EVERY month), and said it was a BFP although didn't let any of us see it....... She has done this before, and then acts like she is m/c....Yes, I think she has some serious ental issues, although she likes to call them "daddy" issues.

That is truly one of the worst things I've ever heard. That chick is a total AW and needs to get help, stat. Faking a pregnancy and m/c is NOT ok.
OP- You'd be shocked the things my co-worker, who has two children (8 and 11) did NOT know about pregnancy and birth! Same with my coworker who was 9 months pg with her first. We had a discussion about how after 2 c-sections most Dr's won't allow a VBAC b/c of chance of your uterus rupturing... they had no clue what I was talking about and when I explained to them that in order to do a c-section the Dr's had to cut through your uterus... they DIDN'T BELIEVE ME.
How can one person have two children and another about to give birth and NOT have any idea the basics of a c-section?!?!? I actually had to google the procedure and show them a diagram before they would believe me!
The other things they didn't know: purpose of the placenta, purpose of the amniotic fluid, why the placenta has to be delivered and can't stay inside the mother, how epidurals were given, and I know there was more but I can't recall.
Now I will admit I am beyond intrigued by the act of giving birth and all things related, I watch lots of Discovery Health shows on it and have done lots of research just because I want to know things... but it blows my mind how little two mothers actually KNEW about giving birth!
