Just for Fun: 2010 Trends

Saw this on another board earlier this week. Since I'm bored, I thought I'd ask it here: What 2010 trend/hot celebrity/style would you like to see disappear in 2010?

I'm not a fan of jeggings, so I'd like to see those go and the Tea Party.

Re: Just for Fun: 2010 Trends

  • Sarah Palin. Please just go away already.

Speaking of Palin's, I would like "Dancing with the Stars" to stop having non-stars as competitors.

  • Lindsay Lohan.  I'm so sick of hearing about her problems and her rehab and her painting "fvck you" on her nails and then showing up AT A COURT HEARING.  As a lawyer I find that last one particularly offensive (and I don't even like being a lawyer that much, but c'mon!!)  My friend posted on FB about all the other 21 yr olds that should be in the news (vs. LL) and listed 10 young people who had been killed in combat recently.  To be honest, I do feel a little bit sorry for her, child stars always seem to turn out all screwed up, but she's a grown up now and needs to take responsibility for her actions.  GRR!

  • Tea Party, Sarah Palin...all good ones!  I'll add the nutso media - come on, like we need a show about Palin on TLC?!  Or the news media, liberal or conservative, blowing things out of proportion.  I would also like to see less eggplant - seems like it is everywhere these days Stick out tongue
  • The Kardashians. Why are they everywhere and will they PLEASE go away!!
  • Reality TV in all its shapes and forms (especially "Train Wreck" TV like 16 and, Real Housewives and everything on MTV)

I'd also love to see the media fascination with reporting every minute detail of celebrity lives go away, report it if its news, but don't follow them around every second and report on what they ate for lunch. I don't care.

And fear mongering politics... Don't tell me what evil thing your opponents are doing, tell me what good things you are doing or just be quiet!

    A girl can dream.... :)

  • Misinformation and people's willingness to believe what they heard on tv or read on the web without question.

If people get news from one source or if they do not question information then it is very easy for them to be persuaded on some really outrageous ideas (birthers). This does pertains to both sides of the politcial spectrum.

  • My crazy SIL had on jeggings at Christmas and they looked great on her.  Just sayin'.

  • I just wish they would stop talking about Lindsey Lohan, Charlie Sheen and Tiger Woods and put them in a box and close the lid.  I'd be curious to see who comes out the victor! HAH!
