So glad the holidays are over

Maybe it was a self-fulfilling prophecy since I was dreading the holidays, but this past week has been tough.  We had to visit 5 different households during the 24th-25th and every one was filled with babies and pregnant people. And I had to go meet my bff's new baby -- who was born the day before ER.  Somehow I got through it all without anyone seeing me cry. 

Last night, I finally had this feeling of relief that it was all done.  I'm so glad to put this year behind us.  We'll probably have a quiet New Year's Eve at home and pray that 2011 brings better things!

    Amen, girl!!  I am so ready for 2011!  I wanted our tree down on Dec. 26th....just so that I could move on from this holiday season.  Sorry you had to endure so many babies and bellies over the weekend, but glad you survived it!  ((hugs))

    I completely agree. I'm so glad it is over. And I wasn't even around anyone that was pregnant or any babies. I, too, wanted my Christmas stuff down ASAP...I've just been too lazy to take it all down Embarrassed

    Married '02, TTC May '05

    Dx -Ute cancer, DOR from cancer treatments, and embryo quality issues. NOV 2010 CANCER FREE
    2005-2011= 3 Rounds of Clomid, 5 IUI's, 3 IVF's- ALL BFN's
    After 7yrs TTC, 5yrs of ute cancer, and 11 failed IF treatments, we got a surprise BFP! So thankful!

    I feel exactly the same way!  Everywhere I went it was pregnant cousins and friends with newborns.  The best is how everyone goes '....it will be your turn soon!"  Like as if it were about TURNS.  If that is the case, I seem to keep missing MY turn, when younger cousins and friends are onto their second babies!

     Let's hope 2011 brings us all great news!

    I agree with everything you've written.  In addition to all the feelings that others have shared, as a Jewish person who does not observe Christmas, I hate the month of December and feel like an outsider in main stream culture.

    I'm visiting my family and am so done with the trip and can't wait to get home. 

    We all got through it, as painful as it may have been.  Now hoping that 2011 is a better year and that none of us will be on this board a year from now.
