Pink Eye HELP!

I was wondering where to go for pink eye?? Do i go to my family dr, ob or eye doctor? Any ideas?

    Whenever I get pink eye I just go to the CVS Minute Clinic or Walgreens Take Care clinic. There is no wait time and they accept insurance so it's a quick in and out compared to making an appointment at your regular dr's. Plus, you're already right there to get the medicated eye drops. For now, put a warm, damp washcloth on your eye - it always makes mine feel better. I hate pink eye! Feel better soon!!

    This is a great idea. It beats waiting for the doctor!

    Pink eye is very contagious! Get the Clorox wipes out and clean your door knobs and such so your DH doesn't get it! As PP said, they normally give you eye drops. Also, they had me clean my eye as PP said but they had me use baby shampoo on the cloth to clean it.

    Everything the PP said. Also, don't forget to throw away all your eye make up that you have used in the past 2-3 days. You will need to replace everything. Including your eye lash curler. Just throwing away the applicators won't cut it because the infection is on the color palate now. Don't forget eye liner and mascara!

    I had pink eye just last week. I've had it before so I knew what it was and just called my OB, who called in a prescription for me at my local pharmacy.  It went away after 2 days and meanwhile I changed all sheets and contact lenses, and also used a warm washcloth in the mornings to "decrust" my eyes (gross!!).  Good luck and hope it goes away soon!
