Why the heck would it happen in the middle of a load of dirty diapers???
I read and read and was pretty sure I'd figured out what was wrong because I'm a firm believer in DIY and um... well, not spending money. I assisted DH with taking apart a significant part of the washing machine and it helped NOTHING. Still completely broken.
It's only two dang years old!!!
It stopped half way through the cold wash cycle and didn't drain any of the water out - but the water did spill out all over DH
Now the display screen just says "pau" for paused and won't start onto a new cycle.
DARN!
Re: I guess it's my turn for a broken washing machine :(
I know y'all have had cold weather - any chance the drain hose is clogged with a frozen clump? I had this happen a few times and it made a racket in the machine and a mess.
Hope it is something simple or covered under a warranty!
DH is installing a new (used) washing machine downstairs as we speak. Thank goodness we happen to own about 15 washing machines. (We bought them from the local laundromat when they upgraded about a year ago. We have plenty of room to store them in our other barns, and you never know when one of the machines in our rental properties will die -or ours- will die.)
