Just wondering! I am very lucky that I work part time teaching dance. Not too worried about my minimal office time and kids classes but I also teach Zumba. Yeah, it is pretty high intensity for 55 minutes three days per week...wondering how quickly I should find someone to take over those classes?
Re: How long could you work?
I worked until the Friday before I was induced at 38w2d, but, like PP, I work at home. I worked from a reclined position on the couch for the last two months or so, and could take naps, rest, etc., whenever I needed to.
If my job was even remotely active, it would have been a very different story. I had contractions when I was active starting at 18 weeks, and when I say "active," I mean walking made my uterus act up.
I was still running through 14 weeks and spinning through 27/28 weeks. I swam until 32 weeks and then my OB shut down my physical activity because my cervix was funneling.
I don't know how far along you are, but some people are able to stay active through the end, others have CI issues and have to get off their feet earlier. It's hard to tell which side you'll fall on.
For me, keeping up with my exercise routine as long as I could was a must.
