Funny smelling frozen BM

I was able to freeze a lot of breastmilk in oct. Now that I am back to work I am starting to use the frozen BM. Today I thawed out 2 3oz bags and I fed LO 5oz and had 1 oz left over. When it came time for her next bottle i went to use the 1oz and just so happened to smell it and it smelled!!!! Kinda like metal?.......... She had no problem taking the 5oz, but i didnt even think to smell that one........is that normal? Is my freezer stash bad????? LO seems just fine from her last feeding.........

    Bad BM smells sour.  Look into excess lipase on kellymom.com.  My previously frozen BM smells very strongly but not sour (it smells like it tastes whereas my fresh has no smell). 

    Was it frozen / Has it been stored properly?
