my baby just threw up about an ounce I think. It was sort of projectile and im terrified to lay him down I dont want him to choke....is it normal for him to do that?? hes 3 weeks

I wouldn't say a whole ounce is normal, but I wouldn't freak out. Just watch him and if it happens again, call your Pedi. Just lay him slightly on his side, like just propped up a little bit. That way if he does spit up, he can't choke on it.
The amount that actually gets spit up is usually no where near as much as you'd think it is. Our LO has projectile vomited about 3x since birth and our pedi says it's normal as long as it's still the color of his formula and isn't green or tinged with blood. Every time it's happened it's been because he was constipated and laid flat too soon after he ate. We always either hold him or put him in his RNP or carseat after feedings so that he's not laying flat.
