LO on steroids...

Has anyone's LO been on steroids? My DS has terrible congestion in his chest that won't seem to clear up so the pedi put him on steriods today. The bottle said it could make him dizzy and I guess it did because he was so dopey tonight. He even fell over when he was sitting up, not his normal topple either. 

I guess I'll call the pedi in the am, I don't really want him to be dizzy for 5 days.

Just curious any experiences you guys have had...

    Mr. D was on them when he got the croup about 3 weeks ago... granted just 3 days not 5. He was exactly the opposite--totally ramped up and go-go-go. We had to make sure to give him his night time dose at least 3.5hrs. before bedtime or there would be no sleep in our household. I also tried to give it around food or a bottle which helped lessen the effects--maybe you could try that?!? Good luck.

    My 1st was on steroids at about this age.  Same thing as previous poster - kept him wide awake, and I knew this because he was always a very good, predictable sleeper.

    DS was on steroids for 5 days back in October for chest congestion. We had no side effects though. I gave him his meds right after a bottle each day and didn't see any effects from it.
