Infertility

~*~kdussault~*~

Hi!  I just saw your response below.  I do remember that you were struggling with whether to do an eSET or not, too.  It is SUCH a difficult decision.  We really agonized over it.  Once you get to this point, it almost feels impossible to do something that *might* even reduce your chances of success.  But as we kept getting good news about our embryos, it really made us start thinking about things differently.  Before that, it didn't even seem possible for anything to work, but that feeling started to dissipate once we realized that these embryos were SO much different from the ones we had had during our other cycles.

We are hopeful about this cycle, but even if it doesn't turn out to be successful ultimately, we are at peace with our decision and find a lot of comfort in having 2 frozen embryos.

Glad your dates are coming up soon!  I'm excited for you!

Re: ~*~kdussault~*~

  • thanks! you are totally right! one of those moments for me was going to a baseline US with my donor and seeing alllll the antral follicles she had (they counted 22 total) compared to my US's that showed maybe 5 total... it got me excited for what could be for us, at the same time putting my situation into perspective for me. kind if bittersweet if you will. it's so hard to think of us probably transferring one when it seems that very rarely happens and that others on here transfer three even... I cant imagine transferring 3 with the possibilities that holds. ultimately I trust my doctor, my clinic, and their goal to strive for great pregnancy rates with few embryos transferred. I'll be thinking great thoughts for you tomorrow and waiting for your update :)
