Today has been a VERY trying day.
For starters, I had to take Tage to the doctor at 9:30 AM to meet his pediatrician and get a checkup (he was just released from the NICU on Thursday). DH had to work and couldn't stay home with Taylen and I really didn't want to take him in there if he didn't have to go, so DH took Taylen to MIL's house so she could watch him. As I was in the elevator with Tage at the hospital, some random stranger woman says "Oh boy or girl?" I say "boy". She then proceedes to unzip his car seat cover and try to stick her hand in the car seat to see him! HELLO!! WTF ARE YOU DOING?? What would posess someone to reach in someone's car seat when they don't even know that person?! His apnea monitor was also slung on my shoulder too so obviously that should be saying something as in... he's not the healthiest. I pulled his car seat away from her and said "uhh, he's a preemie so I'd rather not have you touching him". She looked at me like I was a *** or something. DUH. I can't believe some people. Honestly. I would NEVER walk up to some random person with a car seat and try to reach in and touch their kid. weirdos.
After Tage's appointment, I drove to MIL's house. DH arrived at MIL's house about half an hour after I did. MIL volunteered to watch the boys while we went to run errands (grocery shop). We were gone for not even 3 hours. When we returned, I walk in to see MIL's neighbor holding my son. SERIOUSLY?!?? neighbor lady is very nice and I like her a lot, BUT, my kids were born very premature. My own siblings haven't even held them yet because of this. MIL is aware that nobody is to be holding them and yet while I'm gone she calls her neighbor to come over to hold my kid?? without even asking me at that. She's lucky I ddin't start screaming when I walked in the door. After neighborlady leaves she says to me "i'm sorry but I thought she should be able to hold him because she spent a lot of money on them for shower gifts" ARE YOU EFFING SERIOUS?? that is not your call lady! My grandmother spent a lot of money on them too but she isn't even allowed to hold them yet!!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like I said....today has been a *VERY* trying day. By the time I arrived home, I looked like this ![]()
Thanks for listening to me *** and vent.
Re: my b!tch-fest for the day.
That happened to me. Some freak in the elevator reached her hand into Kate's carseat. (I was taking her to the doctor). Rude! and I don't want her discusting cootie hands touching my preemie.
And OMG
about the neighbor lady holding your baby. NO friggin way! I would be so mad, my husband would have gotten an earful the whole way home...and I'm such a brat...that would be the LAST time my MIL got to watch my kiddos for a very lonnnnnng while. vent away!
