Trying to Get Pregnant

FF wording

Just obsessing over FF. Do you take this to mean that pregnancy charts have the higher percentage of spotting or non-pregnancy charts have the higher percentage of spotting? It was unclear to me.

"2.9% of pregnancy charts show spotting at 14DPO. 15.9% more than for non pregnant charts."

  • I take it to mean that non-pregnancy charts have more spotting than pregnancy charts.  It makes sense intuitively I guess?  But I have also been confused by this wording!

I have no idea, but I can tell you that I didn't spot with either of the boys.  The only time I had bleeding was when I m/c.  So...not everyone spots.  ::shrugs::

I know, but I am spotting. This came from the spotting factor section below my chart. And for everyone, I know all the points and factors and things really don't mean much, I'm just wondering what FF is trying to say here.

  • That is confusing.  FWIW my guess is that more charts show spotting, that is how I read it.

  • Maybe my stats recollection is effed up, but I take it to mean that you're more likely to spot at 14 DPO if you're PG than not.  The % of women who are NOT PG who spot at 14 DPO would be the inverse of 15.9%, or basically 84% of 2.9%.

That's kind of what I thought, but I guess I thought that the opposite was true. If you are correct than I am in a better position than I thought! (But probably not really since I have spotted every other cycle and not gotten pregnant. Boo.)
