We were overly blessed this christmas, and MIL (who is obsessed with her first grandchildren) REALLY overdid it. I suddenly have so many 6-9 mo clothes, I have no choice but to exchange some. My question is... what do you like to have around for your kids? I was going to shoot for
8-14 SNPs total (4-7 each) I already have a lot of onesies and t's, a few pairs of jeans. How many "outfits" do you try to have at LEAST per size? I know everyone is different, but I want my kids to wear things more than just once so no ones money is wasted. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
Re: How many outfits do I really need?
For "outfits", I definitely have WAY too many. Most of them have never been worn. I only put them on for church or if we are going out and we don't go out very often. Even if we do, half the time they are just a long sleeved onesie and pants. And with pants, they don't get spit up on as easily, so unless they have a diaper blow out, I don't wash them everytime either. I would say I could've gotten by with 2-3 pants each.
I bought a bunch of cute outfits at a consignment sale and I find them to be too much fuss (at least I didn't spend a lot). Especially hooded things! I thought they were so cute and they turned out to just be a spit up catcher. I even found a paci in there once.
really at that age my LOs lived in footed sleepers during the cold months. hahaha then in the summer if we were just home they stayed in a diaper and onsie.
I only had a few outfits for when we went out. I really like during the winter those fleece type pants. I love the look of jeans but honestly at that age i hated putting them in jeans bc well Im fat and my babies have a chubby belly i thought ugh if all i could do was sit i would NOT want to be wearing jeans! how uncomfy. now that LOs run around i worry less about jeans.

Thanks ladies... I feel terrible because she gave us probably 14 outfits (possibly more... it's unreal), 8 SNPs, 10 onesies and 4 t-shirts and then my mom gave us an additional 6 outfits... I had been compiling clearance items and have a bunch of hand-me-downs too. We have WAYYYY TOO MUCH.
Plus, your replies make me feel less guilty about what DH & I would rather do... SNPs 24/7 for the rest of winter. Much to consider...
