I am embarrassed to ask about this but here it goes...
When I just went to the restroom I went #2 and when I wiped there was quite a bit of bright red blood, I started to freak out thinking it was the SCH and then I realized it was not coming from there.
I have had a LOT of constipation since before my ET. I take colace and actually drink a little coffee here and there to help things along and it has gotten better but I still have issues. ( I have as much fiber as I can with my GD.) It has been painful for a while now to go but this is the first time there has been a significant amount of blood.
So basically I am pretty sure I have hemorrhoids now. Should I see a doctor about it or is there something over the counter that helps and is safe? Or do I just basically have to deal with it?

Re: Way TMI Post
This. I've been using the Tucks pads. (My OB said over the counter pads and creams were fine.) They really help with the discomfort. Hope you feel better soon hon!
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
I feel your pain! Apparently, I have an allergy to something in the OTC wipes & creams because now I have a horrible rash!! I am tempted to get some desitin or something!
This was me. It only happened twice and then stopped so hopefully it stops for you soon!
After two losses, third time was a charm.

It does sounds like you have hemorrhoids, but I would see your PCP just to confirm. They can offer you Rx strength stuff, even though they may also just say to use Tuck's pads. I had a bad case of hemorrhoids years ago and I was freaked out to see a lot of blood after a bowel movement and I called my PCP and they told me to come in right away. I was relieved it was "just hemorrhoids", but if it's something more serious, you want to know sooner rather than later! I'm sure it's nothing serious though. GL!
yup, hems it is. There are tucks suppositories that are safe to use while pregnant and they'll help with any swelling that might be going on and creating an irritation. You can also try getting a sitz bath if they are really uncomfortable, soaking in a warm tub with epsom salt and you can take colace to help with the constipation.
For me the best relief was Fiber One cereal, lots of cruciferous vegetables and tons of water.
Good luck hon!
Sorry..... that's so uncomfortable. The red could be one of two things: hemorrhoids, like you said, or something called an anal fissure, which I know sounds horrible but truly isn't that bad. (Anal fissures heal very fast and can be caused by one large 'movement')
I have chronic gut problems, so I can offer you a little advice.... Like PPs said, the medicated wipes are great. I also recommend Cottonelle or Kleenex brand flushable wipes - they're cool and moist and can provide a more gentler 'wipe' than you get with dry TP.
Keep up the colace - you can increase your dosage if you feel like it isn't helping. I take 100 mg daily. Also, be mindful that you're getting enough fiber AND enough liquid in your diet. Without proper hydration, you can't move all that fiber through!
There are lots of 'tricks' that some folks employ to help their body get in routine, too. A very warm drink first thing in the morning on an empty stomach is a good way to jump start your gut. They also say that regular exercise (no pun intended) can help your gut to get going.
Hang in there! It's all worth it, right?
