DH and I will be in Houston, staying downtown, for our 1st anniversary Sunday night. We originally thought we would be in San Antonio but some plans have changed and now I have no idea where to eat. I have looked at some restaurants but they seem to all be closed on Sundays. 
So, where should we eat? We want to dress up (nice dress, suit) and spend a nice amount. We don't eat at super nice restaurants often so we need/want to splurge for our anniversary. Where do ya'll recommend?

got to get off the computer now, but here is another one to check out....
Brenners on the Bayou. It's right outside of downtown, so you'd have to catch a cab, but it is delicious. It is a bit on the pricey side, but the scenery is amazing. Get there a bit before your reservation to walk the grounds, it's like a forest in the middle of the city.

Another place that might be good, and it's not as pricey, but it's a nice place is Birraporetti's

Here is one of DH's favorites : https://houston.neloresteakhouse.com/ If you've never been to a churrascaria restaurant (Brazilian steakhouse) this is a great place to try. You can spend as much time there as you like, it's a neat atmosphere and great steak.

Sambuca is really nice! It's a jazz bar, so it might be better suited to a night cap or after dinner drinks. Definately give it a try while you're down!

This is at the Hyatt, where we are staying. I already checked them out.
Also, thanks Amanda. I checked on Tony's when I started looking and they are closed too. I'll check out the others though.

And I'm trying to remember the name of this other restaurant that I've been too a few years back that would be appropriate, but I can't for the life of me remember. I'm going to find it though. LOL.
Ha! I finally found it. Last one and I'm done. LOL. https://www.backstreetcafe.net/about.html This is a great place for an intimate anniversary type date with delicious food. The coffee crusted tenderloin was amazing. And it happens to be open on Sunday.
And...I'm done.
