Dollar tree HPT's review (ticker warning)

Hi ladies -

I know I didn't post much on here, but always appreciated the advice I learned lurking. Just an FYI for anyone who uses dollar store tests - they don't seem to be very sensitive, and I probably would not use them again.

10DPO - test negative on dollar tree, positive on IC

11DPO - test negative on dollar tree, positive on EPT digital

12 DPO - still negative on dollar tree, positive on EPT digital

Had a short lutual phase normally, and AF was expected on 10DPO which is why I started testing then.

Thanks for the info! I was tempted to try them before but sucked it up and got the ICs instead.

This is interesting! I've been waiting for my period to start for a month now and nothing yet but a little bit of spotting, that started two days ago. Not sure if that's my period trying to start or what, but I think I'm going to go to the grocery store and get ept test just to double check cause I used about 3 dollar tree HPT and all of them where negitive so we'll see what happens. Thanks for the info! I have a couple $ store HPTs to burn through. If my LP goes long, I'll have to bust out the other tests in my arsenal

I have seen varying reviews for these tests. Personally, I got a BFP using them at 10DPO. Sure it was faint, but it was there enough for even DH to believe it.

Dollar tree brand didn't show up for me ti ll 13DPO when i was pregnant with DD it was the last test to show up. But if your going to pee in a cup at the Dr's that's the test you need to be + for them to tell. Even though i had a faint line with the Dollar Store one they said my test was inconclusive not +or- so i got the blood test to show a +

WOW....interesting!! Thanks for sharing. I tested with a $tree test at 10DPO and 11DPO and both were negative. HMMM...I doubt that I am KTFU, but still good to know. Let's see if my period shows up....

Good to know! I've only used a few of them and wondered how effective they are. This is only my first cycle and I'm already addicted to POAS! I know the $store ones are much cheaper than the others in the stores, but they come with only one per box, and I feel so self-conscious buying all these boxes of pregnancy tests.

Are the amazon.com cheapies about the same as the Dollar Tree ones? And congrats, OP!

Maybe you got a bad batch. I LOVE the dollar tree tests and have nothing but positive things to say about them (pun intended). I personally have had alot of errors with the IC ones I have. Oh well, I guess everyone has their preferences. Congrats on your BFP!!
