Toyota Sienna Drivers Come In!

Since we are going from a family of 3 to a family of 5 a bigger car is in order!  I'm 99% sure we're going with the Toyota Sienna.  Just looking for opinions from those who already have one.  What do you love/hate about your car?  Do you wish you had bought something different?  We were pretty much deciding between the Oddysey and the Sienna, but I like that the 3rd row on the Sienna has the option to fold part of the seat down and still keep one seat up!  That will allow us more trunk space but still that 3rd seat in the 3rd row that we need!  We are looking to buy used but hopefully with no more then 70,000 miles on it.

  • We have a sienna. Love everything about it!

  • We bought our 2010 Sienna last Oct and I LOVE it.  We got the XLE trim level.  It has leather, automatic doors/liftgate, DVD system, 60/40 third row, 6 disc changer, and sun roof.  The only options it doesn't have that we could have gotten are AWD, navigation system, and rear backup camera/sensors.  The automatic doors are a lifesaver when your hands are loaded down.  It's very easy to get the boys in and out of.  We have their car seats in the 2nd row.  We've traveled with it several times with our dog and still have plenty of room for everything.

Even with the other Toyota recalls, I still wouldn't trade it for anything.  I also test drove the Odyssey and didn't like the way everything was laid out on the dash.  It looked like mission control for NASA!

  • Thanks! :)  I've owned 4 toyota's in my lifetime and have loved them all!  We went to look at a few a few months ago and we have a few lined up to see this week.  I'd LIKE to buy the Sienna before the babies are born, but if we have to wait we can.  All depends on the best deal we can find at the moment.

  • We bought a Sienna when my first set of twins was born (they're now 5) and we LOVE it.  Great car.  Plenty of room for everything but it doesn't feel like I'm driving a bus, easy to get kids/things in and out of, comfortable, reliable, etc...  We plan on keeping it and it'll soon be driving our family of 6 (plus a dog!) around instead of our family of 4!

  • I really like my Sienna.  We were on a budget but wanted all the options of course.  We found a 2004 Sienna with leather seats, AWD, backup camera, and the 60/40 rear seat that folds into the floor. Plus it only had 62K miles on it.  I think it was listed at 19K and we ended up paying 12,500 with our trade in (a 2003 jeep cherokee).  We also purchased the extended warranty which has already paid for itself when the heated seats didn't work.

  • We got a 2011 Sienna this August and I love it!  I didn't really want a minivan but once we found out we were expecting twins we realized we had no choice.  I love how the second row seats slide back (you can't do it with the Odyssey).. the power doors are a lifesaver!  I can't recommend it enough!
  • We also just bought the 2011 Toyota Sienna and we really like it, especially how its n 8 passenger, super spacious, I can remove the center seat if I want and it attaches it for storage at the back wall of the trunk space. I also like how I can sync my ipod on my iphone to the system and play music whithout having any wires connected to my phone or the car. Also, how I dont have to pick up my phone when I get a call when Im driving which is super safe (but i know a lot of cars have that nowadays) :p The only downfall is, not sure if my kid pushed  button that we dont know of) My sliding door gets stuck sometimes when u press the button on the key to open. It opens only when the car is on park but it gets stuck at times, both sides so I don't know if its all Sienna's or just MY car.
