I scheduled it for 9:30am so I wouldn't have to wait at all tomorrow. I'm really nervous, especially because we have to bring Rosie. (Darn preschool Christmas vacation). Our plan is to have DH and her wait outside the room until we know everything is okay, and then have them come in. If something's wrong, I don't want her to see my reaction.
Side note- my order says to drink 40oz. of water one hour prior to the exam. Does anyone else ignore that? I will drink a lot of water, but that's so, so much. Any time I've tried to drink as much as they tell you to, I end up practically crying from the pain.
Re: First u/s tomorrow
Good luck! Did you clear it with your Dr to being Rosie in? Our office does not allow children in the u/s room, period.
I did drink that much when told, and then I was told to empty my bladder because she had to use the internal one. I drank so much and was so uncomfortable for nothing! haha
If you were closer I would totally take her for you!
Aw, thanks! Originally, my parents were supposed to be here for Christmas, and they would have watched her, but their plans fell through.
I haven't checked with the office, it's at a radiology place that is not near my Dr.'s office, but if they don't allow her in, I'll just go by myself, and have DH wait in the waiting room.
I just popped into my head that your ultrasound was soon. (I thought it was today, so I was just about to Msg you on FB)
Thats a lot of water! I would just make sure you have a comfortably full bladder. Good luck and keep me posted!
Good luck!! I hope you get great news!
I always have just drank whatever before my U/s-es and then tried not to pee..
it sounds strange though to me.. aren't you only like 7 weeks? I would imagine it is a transvag u/s.. in which case they will make you empty your bladder before they start.. It wasn't until my 12 week u/s that they did an abdomnial scan which they want a full bladder for..

I had to bring my DD to every OB appt, so I brought an umbrella stroller and lots of snacks for her!
I had heard other people's OBs tell them to drink water, and I asked the u/s tech, and she said no, I don't need to. I don't know why some Drs ask, and others don't.
