I am sure this has been posted before, but haven't seen it lately.

 

What are your plans for New Year's? DH and I are heading up to a cabin in NH with my brothers and sister and their significant others. We are big into winter sports (skiing, boarding, snowshoeing etc) so it is a perfect getaway for us.

 

How about you?

    None : (  DH is 8 hours away at work for more than a month.

    We're hoping to have friends over, so it'll be a quiet evening but still fun. I'm going to attempt to cook a turkey (I've only ever made 1 before!) and do all the trimmings Smile

    DH's band plays that night at a hole-in-the-wall biker bar. It should be pretty fun but I can't quite get excited for it for some reason. I'm becoming such a homebody!

    We are going to a local bar for their party....$60/couple, all you can eat appetizer buffet, free open bar and a band. My brother and his gf will be there and also my aunt/uncle and some other people we know. Looking forward to it!

    Bar A in Jersey.  My work BFF's husband's band plays there every year.  She is my TTC buddy now so we are going ALL out this year in hopes that next year we'll be sitting on the couch together recovering from birth or very pregnant!

    DH and I are leaving for our honeymoon in Antigua....assuming our flight doesn't get cancelled due to the snow storm that is coming our way.

    We are hanging out with my friend and her husband for New Year's. We are heading to their house because they have a 8 month beautiful little girl and it's easier for them with the baby. I think they are also inviting another couple so we'll have just a quiet night with some food and maybe some cards.

    I actually hate NYE. I'd prefer to do nothing. However, my BIL and FSIL will be here by then (from MD) for their January 7th wedding and I think my BIL wants to do something. I'm hoping it'll be nothing more than hanging out at my IL's house. DH is welcome to do what he wants and understands that I'll probably decline going out. Brooke = not a fan of making herself a target for drunk drivers.

    DH is working at the bar. It is always dead up there, so not really looking forward to it. We found out Saturday night for us to plan to be there till about 6am. BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! So I told DH I am not coming up to the bar till about 11:30 that night. So not excited at all. Oh yeah and we have a bday party for my three year old niece the next day, so we can't even sleep much. Crying

    I'm jealous of all the getaways!  We usually host a get-together at our house, but our favorite sushi place is having a buffet and open bar, so we may end up there.
