  • Hi, Worms!  My parents do not have medicare, but I am a community pharmacist and have helped a few of our patients enroll for Medicare Rx Part D.  The best way of doing this is by going to https://www.medicare.gov/default.aspx.  You'll have the options of entering all of the medications that your father is currently taking.  You'll get information about the plans that cover those particular meds.  You'll also get info on monthly premiums for each plan and deductibles.

From my experience I've noticed that AARP (United Healthcare) has a pretty good plan for only $30.00/month with no deductible.  If your father is considered as having low income, Social Security will pay the monthly premium.
