Horrible xmas present, what do I do???

OMG I just got a belated xmas gift from a client...it's a real rabbit fur scarf from a store that she owns...WTF?!!!!!!!  What am I supposed to do now?  If I try to exchange it she will know!  And there's no way in hell I could re-gift this thing, I don't know anybody who would wear fur!!!

Yeah, that's what I feel like doing but then this poor rabbit dies in vain!  Trying to think of a way to at least recycle it...

  • Um.. have someone who sews make it into a stuffed rabbit for the kiddo?

That's pretty awful, but at least it would "look" like a rabbit's supposed to look and not look like a roadkill rabbit.

  • Donate to a homeless shelter.  at least it can keep someone warm and you get a tax write-off.

  • OK, I think if someone give you something like that, they have to know people tend to have strong feelings one way or another about fur.  So I say take it back to the store, explain that you aren't comfortable with fur and would prefer that someone who may enjoy it, have it.  Is your client always in the store?  I may be forward, but I'd probably try to do this when she wasn't there.  Thank her for thinking of you.
  • I would donate it.

  • I like the donation idea best, I think.  Fits the season.
