Shady Grove update

Hi! I just wanted to update from yesterday.

I got a phone call from them first thing this morning! The lady I spoke to was really nice and we scheduled an appt! We are going to meet with Dr. L at the Rockville office on Feb 2nd! He had earlier appts in January but we are unable to do any of those because DH will be out of town for most of January for work:( The day of our meeting is also DH's b-day so maybe that will get us off to a good start

Originally she said that we could do a phone consult (they would consider us out of state-even though we are in VA) and then come for the "recipient day" visit- meet dr., do mock cycle, freeze sperm, etc. I asked her since we are only ~ 4hrs away if it would be okay for us to come for a face-to-face visit first for the dr to go over all of our records and make sure we are on the right track for DE vs the phone consult and one day visit and she said sure so that's what we are going to do.

They have already e-mailed me the confirmation with everything I need to bring/know for our first visit and have also e-mailed me a temp passcode for the donor database. I'm waiting for DH to finish shoveling snow and then we can check it out together. I know it's only temporary and the donors can change but I'm excited to see what they have!

Anyway, just wanted to update and thank you girls for the helpful responses yesterday! I'll keep you posted!

ETA: She said she's also going to mail me a packet of info-general stuff and forms to complete.
