So....what did you get??

I see that some of you got the ever elusive BFP for Christmas!  Congrats to yall! 

 What did everyone get as far as material gifts go?  My biggies were a Tiffany necklace and an HTC Evo (still trying to figure out how to use it!!). 


Diagnosed PCOS 2/07, TTC #1 since 8/09
11/10 - Clomid Round 1 = BFN
12/10 - Clomid Round 2 = BFN
1/11 - Voluntary Break = BFN (duh)
2/11 - Clomid Round 3 = BFN
3/11 - Femara + IUI = BFP * Beta#1=56 * Beta#2=266

    Well from my family I got alot of cash and gift cards.  Which is great.  DH and I can get some things for the house: wall art and other decorations.

    DH got me Reebok Shape Ups got them white so I can wear them at work (wore them grocery shopping yesterday, love them).  He also got me a new iPod since my old one doesn't hold a charge anymore and some cash.  I need some new workout clothes. 

    We had a relatively light Christmas since we bought ourselves a gift in July...a new roof!

    Life As I Know It
    TTC #1 Since 2/2008
    Dx: Hyperprolactinemia and Unexplained
    Parlodel 2.5 mg (1 Tab M,W,F; 1/2 tab the other days); Folic Acid; Prenatals
    All 5 Clomid cylces resulted in BFN; no more Clomid.
    Laparoscopy Scheduled 1/11/11: Path report showed minor inflammation and infection.
    3/30/11 Biopsy results: cervial and endometrial pathologies normal; one pathology came back abnormal with 5 rare cells from the endometritis
    Cycles 1-5 of Follistim, Novarel, Progesterone = BFN
    Surprise BFP 11/18/11
    Beta #1 208, p4 7.4; Beta #2 1846.20, p4 16.1
    u/s #1 12/2/11 Heart rate 126 bpm measuring at 3mm

    I've been thinking about getting some of those!  I'm just so clumsy I'm afraid I'd be falling all over the place!!

    I made out this year :) I got:

    Cash and gift cards to Pottery Barn and VS

    A robe from Restoration Hardware

    Comfy fuzzy socks

    Two large pieces of framed and matted art for my living room wall (my fav gift!)

    The last two 5 piece place setting of my china pattern

    Ton and tons of candy (this is kind of a bad thing bc I love me some candy!)

    Two Steeler tee's from VS Pink NFL line

    Cute wine glass ornament and a Radko snowman glass ornament

    Plus I got to spend a week in Pa with both DH and I's families :) 

     

    TTC #1 since Oct 09 Dx w/Anovulation

    Cycle #7: 1/10/11 = Surprise BFP after 3rd failed treatment cycle!!!    2/24: m m/c @ 10w0d

    4/11: Natural Cycle = BFP!!

    I got garnet butterfly earrings.  An adorable hat.  A frame.  And some nice gift cards toward my new fridge.  So excited about that!!

    My best gift was from my in-laws.  A Marc Jacobs diaper bag which sort of upset me at first given all our troubles, until I opened the card inside the bag that had a check for $20,000 for IVF.  I cried my eyes out.  We are 100% out of pocket and have been so stressed out about what we were going to do if our IUIs don't work.  Now we can relax and hopefully be able to give them a grandchild, (my husband is an only child).

    I know, I debated about even posting it because I didn't want to be braggy, but I knew you ladies would get it and I have to tell someone!  They live very comfortably and have always been generous with us, (they paid for our destination wedding), but I certainly was not expecting that when I was opening my gifts.  I was overcome.  I am so thankful.  Hopefully my body will cooperate this year!

    WOW, what an AMAZING gift! That is so wonderful they could do that for you. I'm glad you shared. Smile
