Wakeful period again?

Tyler has been waking up 2-3 times a week in the middle of the night for the past 2 weeks.

Last night he woke at 1:00 and did not go back to sleep until 4:00.

Is this normal at his age? I am waiting to hear back from our pedis. nurse but wanted to see what your thoughts were.

    This was my thought too.

    Dx: PCOS and short luteal phase
    18 cycles (3 with our RE) - Metformin + Clomid + HCG booster did the trick!
    BFP #1 6/22/09 EDD: 3/2/10 DS born: 3/8/10

    TTC #2 since Dec 2011
    BFP #2 7/8/12 EDD: 3/18/12 M/C @ 9w1d: 8/16/12

    I just spoke with his pedis nurse and she said it is normal at this age. She chalks it up to him being so clingy.

    I don't think he is teething but I am keeping an eye on that as well.

    Oh, he is 16 months old.

    Matt has bouts of this too.  His body is catching up to his eating habits too (finally!) so it can throw off his cycles. His molars are mostly to blame though.

    I was going to guess that he was 16-18ish months.  It's totally normal and will pass.  I know it's hard, but he'll get back on track soon!

    If he is just awake and not crying (in pain from teeth), he may be going through a developmental push. Just like us, when babies have something on their mind it can be hard to sleep. He might be thinking "what were those new words i said today" or "wow, I jumped." For babies, that's as big as us thinking about the vacation we're heading on or the big project due at work that keep us awake.
