I just started taking this due to a shortened cervix. Just wanted to know if any of you ladies had to take it or are taking it and how it worked for you. Thanks!

I've been taking progesterone suppositories once a day since 20 weeks due to a shortened cervix. In combination with bedrest, my cervix has held steady since then, so it seems to be working!
I used progesterone suppositories twice a day starting at 21 weeks for my shortened cervix. I honestly don't know what their contribution was, but I did make it to 36 weeks, 1 day with my pregnancy and my OB thought the suppositories were helpful in making it that long!

I get a weekly 17P shot (progesterone) at the doctor since week 16 to help prevent preterm labor. So far so good... no issues, no shortening cervix, etc. I will stay on the shots until week 35, I believe.

I was on a twice a day progesterone suppository from the time I got my positive pregnancy test until my 2nd trimester. This was due to having difficulty concieving and my prior miscarriage. Doc. said when my 2nd trimester started I could stop. I'm now 24 weeks so I guess it worked They are not fun, but if they help.....it's one more thing we do for our kids.
I took it for 12 weeks (I think), once a week. I'm not sure how much it helped but I did make it to week 35 after 5 L&D visits for PTL. I was also on bedrest & terbutaline. It didn't hurt, I'll put it that way.
