But my friend gave me a bottle of Almond Supple Skin oil from L'Occitane that she used during pregnancy because she didn't get stretchmarks. I use it because it smells really good and feels good to massage on! I will let you know in 5 months how it went
You need good genes! Otherwise, nothing you can do.
This is what I heard!

I hear if you take a 100 dollar bill, shred it, make a paste out of it with lemongrass during a full moon on an odd year in a month that ends in Y, and rub it on your skin, you will never get stretchmarks. Nor age.

keep hydrated to keep it pliable avoid the elastin snap . Don't spend $$ on a miracle cream. Coco butter is fine. Your genetic really determine if it will happen. No miracle cream will do it.

I'm sure it's a nice cream, and it will help keep your skin hydrated.
But it's not the reason your friend didn't get stretch marks. She just didn't get them, and happened to use this cream. The two are not related.
There is nothing really you can do. But if your worried that you havent done enough to try to prevent them, Vitamin E oil is suppose to be good, you can also get Vitamin E capsules and break them open. I use a lotion with cocoa butter nad something else in it I got from Motherhood Maternity. at night and the oil anytime Im itchy. It at least helps with the itchyness.

I love my vitamin E oil. It's the best thing for dry skin! word to the wise though.... it can make you more susceptible to bruising. I learned that the fun way...
there's really no magic cream or anything that will prevent them. however, drinking lots of water, eating raw fruits and veggies, and moisturizing can help. skin maintains its elasticity better when it's hydrated, and the raw fruits/veggies help your skin cells to regenerate faster.
When you find the magic cream let me know....my sister and I both got BAD stretch marks on our bellies, looks like someone scratched their nails up and down my belly on both sides of my belly button. It sure is a pretty sight. I'm really hoping no more beauty marks make their appearance this time around!

Another thing that helps minimize them is not gaining too much weight too quickly. While you may still get them, steadier weight gain/not gaining too much weight reduces the stretch on the skin.
Nothing really prevents them... but I used BioOil and a body firmer lotion post pregnancy and it helped a lot. I had really horrible stretch marks and tried every kind of lotion and that was the only thing that helped. But I will say this... my mom didn't have any stretch marks and I got them everywhere, and I was not over weight pre pregnancy, only gained 28 lbs. during pregnancy, and stayed very hydrated and active during pregnancy. So really, you either get them or you don't. But BioOil helps!
