I don't remember seeing this much snow all at once since the blizzard of 96

Holy moly. My recollections may be a bit off but seriously! There is a ton if snow. My car is literally all but invisible. There has got to be at least 3 feet out there. NJ has declared a state of emergency, anyone else? I am pretty bummed because DH didn't come home last night, he is a corrections officer and was forced over to a double shift and didn't get out until 10pm. He ended up just staying over at my parents' house because they live less than 10 min away fom the jail he works at (we liv about 30 min away) and it took him an hour to even get there. I am not looking forward to digging my way out today! If this sint incentive to move to Florida I don't know what is! Well I hope everyone in the tristate area or anywhere else getting slammed with snow is safe and warm and that everyone has a great day: )

    I'm in upstate NY and so far we only have about 8 inches but the wind is horrible. I'm pretty happy we aren't getting more because usually we get slammed and the coast, NYC, LI, Boston and even NJ get nothing. It's a nice change of pace! Hope you dig out soon and hope that your DH gets to come home soon.

    I'm in Connecticut and the amount of snow out there is crazy.  Plus, it is so windy here today that the snow is blowing all over the place.  I was going to try to venture out and get some groceries but I may have the rethink it. 

    I'm with you on going to Florida.

    I agree! This totally reminds of me 1996 and the really harsh winter.  I was in high school back then and remember getting so many snow days off!  The wind was so bad, too!  Needless to say, our Spring break was cut down to 2 measly days bc of all the snow days we took.

    I'm in Southern NH.  I work in MA and the gov called a state of emergency in MA so no work for me Big Smile We got about 2 feet with some high drifts with all of this wind.
