I just had to share this story with you ladies, as I know many of you can identify and commiserate. DH's grandmother died a week and a half ago, so Wednesday was the funeral. Afterward at the family get-together, DH's brother pulls him aside, and later DH returns to tell me that brother had just shared that he and gf are expecting a baby. They are due on the 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE DAY THEY MET! That's right, they've been together five months, and she's about two months along. All the closest family members already knew (minus us) and they were looking to give us the heads up before they announced to everyone else, yes, immediately following a funeral. They're telling everyone, that no, it is not a mistake, that they decided to forgo protection to just "see what happened." Hmph. The entire family is just so overjoyed at this bundle of joy headed their way, while DH and I mourn the loss of our pregnancy. Life is so cruel.
