Re: cmas poll
1. James loved the air hockey set he asked santa for. He also loves his leapfrog explorer though! (He said "I asked Santa for 1 thing and he brought me a bunch of surprises!")
Kaylee liked her baby doll. Not sure what's her favorite: she's loving the stroller, bed and shopping cart as well as crayons etc. Oh and her pink hockey stick!
She figured out opening the gifts after watching James do it a few times, but just wasn't into it. (too sick I guess) She actually REFUSED to open the last 5 of her gifts -until later in the day! We'll see how it goes at the grandparents.
2. I loved the art storage/display box frames the kids got me.
3. Fav part: Being home for once!
4. DH has off until this weekend and then he has off until the 10th. We're trying to make it to visit our families.
1. E didn't go crazy over any particular present - he just kept saying everything was "super duper" cool. O liked opening up presents - even those that weren't his. Didn't seem to phase Elliott, which was nice = no meltdowns!
2. DH got us tickets to see Wicked next Saturday (WOOHOO!) and step-MIL got our family an iPad (WOWSERS!)
3. Seeing the wonder and magic through Elliott's eyes - priceless.
4. Nope - have to work tomorrow - Thursday. Friday's our company holiday since New Year's Day falls on a Saturday, so it's another short work week, but I really miss the days when I worked for a company with a year end shutdown.

1) Andrew quickly understood that wrapped box = something awesome inside. At the end he started unwrapping his present before we even knew what was going on, and then started to open Ryan's. haha. He loved all of his trucks/cars (he's still hyped about it). He is interested in Mr Potato head and his blocks but the trucks make him go crazy.
2) I love my Speedlite. I love all the presents DH got me and the scavenger hunt he set up.
3) I really enjoyed driving around and looking at lights on cmas eve.
4) Ryan has to work
It's a normal week for us mostly, except for Andrew's birthday on the 30th.

This year was sooo much fun. She walked into the living room and her mouth dropped at all her presents. Her favorite is her Buzz Lightyear. She really was into it this year. It was such a huge difference from last year. This year she can really rip the paper off and open them.
2) What was your fav gift you received?
I would have to say DH giving the go ahead to TTC!
He's is just as excited as I am! We aren't telling anyone we are, so we are keeping that quiet. Well, of course, just between us and thebump.
3) Fav part of Christmas this year?
Being with my family. With Dad getting sick last year, we weren't sure how this year was going to be. Now that he is healty and back to almost his old self, we realize how special this year and now every year is.
4) Do you and/or SO have next week off work? If so what are your plans?
I'm a SAHM, so I never have a day off.
And no DH doesn't. He had to work yesterday as well. He was able to come home for a few hours between feedings(he's a hog barn manager) so he could be here for Gracie to open her gifts.

1. They love opening up presents! Jalen was really good after opening his presents, he would pick up the paper and throw them away. Such a good helper. I would say the play kitchen and their 2ft ramp garage was Jalen and Landon's fav. Jordan's fav was the kinect.
2. DH got me a spa day! Can't wait for my massage!
3. Being with family and watching the kids enjoy opening their gifts.
4. Nope. I am off tomorrow, but work all next week.
1. She got into it, although she would get obsessed with whatever she just opened and didn't want to move on to the next thing. I have a feeling that won't last much longer. She seemed to love everything, especially her play kitchen, her wooden Ikea slide, and her basketball goal.
2. this year i actually got things i put on my list, which was awesome. favorites are: gift certificats for house cleaning, a prenatal massage, and guitar restringing/tune-up, and shelving to finish out laundry room
3. i have to admit it seemed like I had a double christmas this year since I was as excited about everything Jocelyn got as I was about the things I received. chris and i had a lot of fun building Jocelyn's play kitchen too - it made it extra special when she saw it and loved it. I'll try to post pictures later.
4. Nope, I work every day, and am actually on call at the hospital overnight on the 29th and have to work a 24-hour call shift there on New Years Day. At least there's no chance I'll be hung over
Unfortunately sick people don't take holidays off!
1. We did 4 present opening sessions between Christmas Eve and today, so I think by the end of it all, she was pretty over the opening part of it all and a little overwhelmed by the volume of new toys. She's the only one under 7 in either of our families, and she got majorly spoiled. I think her favs so far are her Cozy Coupe and her Elmo couch. She has a ton of stuff that she's only looked at it still in the box, though, since we had to travel with everything.
2. I got lots of kitchen gadgets and cook books, so I'm pumped to do a big freezer cooking session. I also got a self-healing mat from the hubs, which I'm excited to bust out and start on my felt playhouse project.
3. Seeing Eloise with my parents. She's getting to know them a little better and open up with them, and they of course adore her.
4. Yes, we both do. We're going to the Children's Museum one day (since E was recovering from a flu bug on Christmas Eve), cleaning/organizing the massive amount of toys we now must house, and having some play dates. E's going to spend New Years Eve at my parent's house, and we're going to a party on Friday night.
1. Hailey loved all of her gifts I think. She got really excited when she saw her tricycle, her new Ni hao, kai lan riding toy, but I think this was her favorite:
2. My favorite gift was money. I didn't get too much. I got a new fleece, shoes, placemats, and some other little things.
3. Just hanging out with the family was my favorite. It was fun this year that Hailey is at an age now where she enjoys opening gifts and she gets really excited.
4. I am on maternity leave and DH is still on paternity leave until NYE. He's building a shed/garage in the back with his brothers and dad and I'll just be hanging out with the little ones.

1. We had to prod her along with Santa's gifts, but then all other openings she couldn't get enough to open. She loves her dollhouse and talking Woody. She had a blast.
2. I got a new P&S camera!
3. Being "home" with all my family.
4. I'm off tomorrow and Friday, DH is off until Monday. We might go to a NYE party...
1) How did your LO react to their gifts? Which was their fav? Did LO get into opening his or her gifts? Wylee boycottted gifts...didn't want to open at all. Thankfully I didn't wrap his "big" gift and he wanted it.
2) What was your fav gift you received? DH got me supplies to start making handstamped jewelry!
3) Fav part of Christmas this year? Wylee and his love for Spongebob slippers and his new tractor.
4) Do you and/or SO have next week off work? If so what are your plans? We are both off work, we are going on a "date" tomorrow and not sure about the rest of the week.
1. N/A.
2. We don't do gifts with DH's family, and my folks sent us gift cards for Gander Mountain, IHOP, Applebee's and PF Chang's. I'm looking forward to the PF Chang's one.
3. Getting to spend it with DH's gma. With our HM being different than planned, we went to her house and she would have been alone otherwise. It was the first year she's been home on Christmas since Gpa died, so it was good to spend it with her. We got snowed in there last night and stayed for a while today and did church with the three of us and it was awesome.
4. DH is off school (and work) until January 11. I have this week off work too, which is glorious. We're planning on hanging things on the walls here, resting, playing games with our neighbors and DH will go camping a few days in the Smokies next week when I'm back at work.
1. Rowan loved everything and oh my goodness is this kid spoiled. We have SO MANY new toys now. I don't have any idea where we are going to put them. Being the only grandkid on both sides gets you a sh*t ton of toys, lol. I would say is fav is the vacuum and leaptop. (He got a piano too but we have to take it back since it's not working properly. Otherwise I think that would be his favorite!) He hasn't really gotten to play with any of the ones we got him since we've been at my parents so we'll see how he likes those when we get back.
2. My parents got us a GPS! I'm so excited, my DH always gets lost. It has been really fun to play with so far.
3. Just watching Rowan being excited and play with his toys. Also seeing family and friends.
4. Yep, we're just chilling at my parents these next few days, Tony doesn't go back to school until the 4th I believe. It's so nice!
