Might be in trouble...if anyone is awake

I am on pumping session #2 in my 12 hour shift.  I have 1 bar of battery power left on my Freestyle.  I forgot to plug it in when I got home from work this morning.  Ugh.  I hope I can make it through the night.  I'm going to be one painful mama in the morning if not.

  • Does it not work on regular batteries? I have the Ameda Purely Yours and it takes 6 AA's. I hope you do make it too! I skipped a pumping session last night and woke up miserable this morning.

  • Nope, it's just a rechargeable lithium ion battery (or the power cord).  My routine is usually to fill the bottles in the morning (because DH washes them after Addison goes to bed), eat breakfast, plug in the pump, and go upstairs for shut-eye (when working nights).  With my parents here, my routine is all out of whack, and I went upstairs about an hour and a half later than I would normally.

I'm at 17 minutes with this session now, and so far, no blinking on the battery.  I need 3 more minutes, plus another 20 minutes in 4 hours.  This teaches me a lesson.  Always travel with the plug!
