We go through anywhere between 8 to 15 a day, I EBF and she literally poops after every feed. I didn't buy nearly enough newborn diapers either. She was 7lbs 11oz and is still swimming in newborn diapers. We just ordered a big a$$ box from amazon!
TTC #2 since 8/2012 Me:28 H:34 Me: all tests normal! H: Azoospermia (Sperm count zero). MFI Urologist all test normal. Biopsy Feb. 14
In the beginning, since we BF, it was about 15 a day after every feeding and a few extra since BF babies have ALOT of bowel movements....
Now that she is STTN and eats less frequently its max 10 a day but usually less ( closer to about 7/8) and they are usually just wet... maybe 1 or 2 BM's a day.
We didn't think she'd be in Newborn diapers but she wore them up until 3 weeks ago! And she was 7lbs 4oz at birth. We went through a jumbo box of Pampers newborn sensitive diapers every 1.5 weeks and those have close to 100 diapers in it!
For the period I was counting when she was about a month old she was averaging about 7 diapers a day with several days going as high as 12. And a note is my lactation consultant (since I'm with wic they check up on me often) noted that this number is a healthy and normal number. Just depends on the baby. Another note though is we have DD in size one because while waist wise the sizing doesn't matter on her and sit about the same, the size 1 fits her legs better.
We are FF, but have to feed every 2 hours. We have lots of wet diapers and a few dirty. So....maybe 12-15 a day! We used a variety of diapers we got as shower gifts to find the brand that works best. Some were very leaky or didn't fit out tiny tot :O) Once we went through the small bags to determine which worked best we bought one giant box. Truthfully, I wouldn't buy or stock one kind in large quantities until you see what works for you baby! Amazon Mom will let you order and then deliver at discount prices. GL
We change with every bottle/feeding, which is about 7/8 right now. Plus the occasional "extra" poopy diaper. So I'd say we go through MAX 10 / day.
We EBF and this!
Oh, Baby Bean! We will always miss you! With us for 6w3d -- June 9, 2008. 2 years of TTC, Seeing RE Feb 09, 2 medicated TI cycles - BFNs, 3 medicated IUIs - BFNs, back to medicated TI cycles until IVF approval, IVF approved in March 2010. BFP on last medicated TI cycle.
We use alot more since DS will not go to sleep with a wet/diaper. So I am changing his diaper when he gets up and before he goes back down for a nap, but he does STTN.
DS has acid relux and milk protein allergy, and had torticollis, used to EP,
now we FF .

The first several weeks we probably went through 8. But I have odd children who don't poop at night (DS has once in his life and DD has yet to...go figure!). Now we go through 5-6. We EBF, but now DD is only going poop a couple times a week (which is normal as they get bigger) and she wears one for 10hours at night.
like everyone else said, around 10 a day. But LO was in newborn for only a week, and has been in size one since. My niece was in newborn for over a month, and was the same exact size as him when she was born. My bestfriends baby NEVER fit into newborn, and my other friends baby went from newborn to size two. So it literally all depends on the baby. I got a shiit ton of NB diapers at my shower, just exchanged them at walmart for size ones. Now i have 6 boxes of size ones, so i clearly wasnt thinking. Probs going back sooner or later to exchange again for size two.
Another note: your gonna have to try out all different diapers untill you find the one you like best. Some people love huggies, some love luvs or pampers, some love cosco or target. I personally cant stand huggies, luvs are okay if im in a pinch, think cosco diapers are annoyingly stiff, but would die without pampers. I thought from the beginning i was going to be a huggies mom, but they just dont fit right on my LO.
I think we were on the lower end with about 8 a day. We FF. I'm sure we had days where we used more or less. I think 10 is a good average. DD was 9lbs 5 oz when she was born and was in NB diapers for about 10 days. Hope that helps.

We're probably at 8-10 now at a little more than 2 months, but at the beginning it was more only because I changed the diapers too frequently! :-)
Also, FWIW, do get some newborn diapers. I didn't have any at home because I figured my baby was going to be bigger and would go straight to size 1 but that wasn't the case, even with DS being born at 8lbs 12 oz. We were in NB dipes for almost a month before we switched up to size 1. Now we're just starting size 2, which are still a tiny bit big but they do the trick and I didn't want to stock up on any more size 1s!
ALOT. We EBF so around ten a day? She has been pooping a TON lately though so its been a bit more than usual. She wa 7 10 at birth and wore NB's for 5 weeks. So make sure you at least have a few packs of those. She fiits great still in size 1's

I really haven't counted... When we were EBF it was a ton more than we are getting now with the formula feedings, so I am going to say around 10-12?
